Palenke Greens

PALENKE GREENS (PG) are burlap sack family gardens that use African technology of burlap sack gardens. We prioritize the stories and voices of Black, local Indigenous, and other disenfranchised groups to center them as key actors on vertical growing methods.

With this in mind, our vision focuses on providing accessible installation, training, and education on vertical growing methods throughout the annual life cycle of a garden.

In 2020, we installed 50+ burlap sacks throughout the Capital Region and we are committed to improving your experience with us this year.
